Freund is describing how on all accounts race is human social construct. On the genetic level there is
no difference, or notable differences to separate one human being to another. There are many instances of atrocities of man that are based on horrible interpretations of race hierarchy. The Nazi regime was entirely based on those racist principles that heavily relied on scientific, so called fact. Rather than try to detail the exact systems the Nazi party used, and the social political nightmare that was pre-war time Germany. A YouTube channel by the name “oversimplified” briefly discusses the means in which the Nazi’s took race as a biological fact. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATlila3e9dM)  In the Within the Haney-Lopez article, Lopez explicitly agrees with the statement that race is a biological fiction. He explains “There are no genetic characteristics possessed by all Blacks but not by non-Blacks; similarly, there is no gene or cluster of genes common to all Whites but not to non-Whites.” (11). By all accounts there should not be any scientific merit for separating the races by genetics or morphological features. To paraphrase the second part of the article, biological race does not exist.
In other articles presented particularly Unequal Treatment, there can be great cause for concern and alarm.  This is especially concerning in cases where doctors will decide on different treatment plans for the same symptoms. “...using a similar methodology as that of Schulman, found that male physicians prescribed twice the level of analgesic medication for white “patients” than for black “patients.” Female physicians, in contrast, prescribed higher doses of analgesics for black than for white “patients,” suggesting that male and female physicians may respond differently to gender and/ or racial cues.”. Unfair treatment of similar symptoms can lead to complications and depending on the severity of the disease can account for unmerited death.
